Plan with the weather

16 Day UK Carp Fishing Weather Forecast

See how pressure, wind, cloud, rainfall and temperature could shape your next fishing session.

Pressure

The pressure range and its day-to-day trend both contribute to the indication.

Wind

Usable wind strength can help, while near-gale conditions cap the rating for safety.

Conditions

Cloud, weather type and temperature complete each day’s score.

What is the best weather for carp fishing?

There's no single perfect carp fishing forecast. A mild, overcast day with a usable breeze and gradually falling pressure can be worth considering, but fish location, water temperature and the character of the lake can outweigh a broad weather pattern. Once you choose a location, the ranking uses the same transparent timing model as our bite predictor, so it is a planning guide rather than a percentage chance of catching.

Air pressure and changing conditions

Air pressure is most useful as part of a trend. Falling pressure before a weather front may coincide with cloud, wind and rain, while a rapid rise can bring clearer, calmer conditions. That doesn't mean carp always feed before rain or stop afterwards. Compare the forecast with what normally happens on the water and be prepared to change depth, location or presentation.

Which wind is best for carp fishing?

A new mild wind can make the receiving side of a lake worth investigating, while a cold wind may make sheltered water more attractive. Wind direction is not a guarantee that carp will follow it. Use the wind and swim planner to distinguish where the wind comes from and where it is travelling, then give priority to visible fish and safe access.

A useful indication, not a promise

Local knowledge still matters

Weather is only one part of fishing. Venue, fish location, tactics and changing local conditions all influence a session, so use this forecast alongside your own judgement.
