Brogborough Hill Pit

Brogborough Hill Pit is over 250 acres containing an impressive head of around 200 carp with the majority of these being common carp, making a change from the usual carp lake holding mainly mirror carp.

Brogborough Hill Pit is a clay pit originally dug to extract the clay used by the London Brick company back in the 1960s.

The original common and mirror carp had been caught to over 30lbs.

The venue has been re-stocked over the last 10 years and these carp are maturing nicely producing some beautiful fish.

Brogborough Hill Pit is available via the Ampthill AC ticket, see the website link below for more details, and does require a syndicate ticket to fish at night. There is a waiting list for this syndicate ticket.

Brogborough Hill Pit is situated off the A421 for incredibly easy access from the M1. Offering a secure car park with a locked gate for extra security.

Brogborough Hill Pit is known as a big carp venue and can be difficult to fish so it is not recommended for beginner carp fishing.

Due to the size of Brogborough Hill Pit, you need to be able to fish at range however you chose to do so.
