Import and export
An export contains the private details you entered. Treat the JSON file as you would a paper fishing diary.
Use a carp fishing diary to compare like with like
A useful session log records blank trips as well as memorable captures. Note the hours actually fished, the presentation used and the signs you saw. After several sessions, your own repeated observations from one water are more useful than treating a single catch under falling pressure as proof of a universal rule.
What the captured weather means
If you choose a public location while saving a current or upcoming session, CarpAnswers stores the nearest available three-hour forecast alongside the record. It is not measured at the lake and cannot describe the water temperature, oxygen level or shelter inside a particular swim. Your notes should record what you actually observed.
Keep a backup of records you value
Browser storage is private and convenient, but it can be cleared by device settings. Export the log periodically and keep the JSON file somewhere you control. An invalid import is rejected before it can replace the valid records already on the device.
